To be honest, although Assassin’s Creed 2 looked to be one of the “hit” games of the fall season, I wasn’t really looking forward to it because my experiences with the first game were less than stellar. I remember when I heard about AC, I thought it was definitely neat playing the role of a stealth assassin who went around taking out targets without being seen or heard (so of like an old Metal Gear Solid). However, the first game was plagued with problems like bugs, repetitive missions and what seemed like a gimmicky cliffhanger ending. Anyhow, it looks as though Ubisoft listened to player feedback and made HUGE improvements in AC2.
The graphics look more polished than before and the gameplay is more varied and dynamic from the previous game. The setting is definitely a big plus since it’s cool to visit the Italian Renaissance and meeting legendary figures like Leonardo Divinci. Also for those North American gamers, people have the choice of either picking up the regular game or the Master Assassin’s Edition, which comes with the game, artbook, DVD, extra maps and a cool 8″ Ezio figure….check it out:
After watching some of the videos and checking out the review, I went from not getting the game to actually buying the Master Assassin’s Edition…and I gotta say it’s well worth it!
