I remember when the cartoon show, Avatar: The Last Airbender movie had ended, fans were hoping that Nickelodeon would produce MORE Avatar, but the creators had expressed that it was best to end the series as it did. However, a little while back, an announcement was made that the Avatar would be shown on the silver screen and be directed by renowned writer/director M. Night Shyamalan. Though I’ve had my reservations in an actual live-action version of the Avatar (due in most part to the horrendous Dragonball Z and Street Fighter movies), the teaser trailer does look promising.

I just hope that Shyamalan will do the series justice, or else fans of the show (and his children!) won’t be forgiving. Summer 2010 seems a LONG time…
