Zune HD Video Hands On from Gizmodo on Vimeo.
I can tell you that when it comes to a stylish, portable media player, the iPod Touch is probably the best and it is evident since it is currently the market leader. Microsoft has been desperately trying to emulate the success that Apple has enjoyed, but didn’t seem to have what it took to compete…until now. Enter the Zune HD! The following are the known specs:
3.3 inch OLED display touch screen (480×272 16:9 resolution).
Size- 2.07″x4.08″x.35″
Multi-touch technology.
Flash memory
Built-in accelerometer.
HDMI connection, for video streaming to HDMI compatible TV’s.
HD radio tuner.
720p high definition video support and output (additional dock required).
Wi-Fi connectivity.
For accessibility to a Wi-Fi Zune Marketplace and Web browsing.
Web browser (based on Internet Explorer Mobile 6 for Windows CE).
Though we haven’t all the features of the Zune HD, it definitely looks promising and those who are on the fence between the Zune and iPod will definitely have a hard time choosing. I guess we’ll get to see more of the Zune HD at the upcoming E3 Convention…and see how the Zune HD will do in the market when it comes out this fall.
