I remember back in the day when getting new games was a great treat and I would play it for hours upon hours. Since getting a new game was a rare occurence, I would make up different ways to play the same games in order to make it interesting and “fresh”. I remember trying to see how far I could go with a single life or how fast it would take me to complete levels.

A couple of Japanese gamers came up with an interesting way to play Super Mario 64. The objective is to dodge the floating 1-Up mushroom while trying to collect all eight red coins. I didn’t realize that the mushroom constantly follows you by floating around and moving on the ground. Just when you thought you’ve lost it, it pops out of nowhere! Definitely a creative new way to play an old classic!
