Who doesn’t remember all the cool cartoon series that came out back in the 80’s? There were cartoons like Transformers, He-Man, G.I. Joe and Voltron. The first 3 have live-action movie adaptations while Voltron was in the midst of getting a live action movie of it’s own. However, due to legal issues between World Event Productions and Toei Animation over who has movie production rights, the film company New Regency no longer had any interest on producing the film. It’s really a shame because it could probably rake in a lot of money (the recent Transformers movie is a perfect example) and definitely revitalize the franchise. Maybe New Regency should consider other titles like Thundercats or Silverhawks! =)
