With each successive generation of consoles becoming better and better, less and less gamers are heading to the arcades to get their gaming fix. This change in the gaming industry has spelled the impending doom of the local arcade…especially in North America. These days I see all the old arcades getting shutdown as less people hangout at arcades and developers are producing less co-op machines. Even more bad news has just been announce by Capcom that the highly anticipated title, Street Fighter IV will not officially come to North American Arcades. Some arcades have gone the lengths of illegally importing the game from Japan at pretty high prices, but I guess it’s just another nail in the proverbial arcade industry coffin.
