On Friday, I was on the subway coming home from work and as I was heading to my car, I missed a phone call. An associate from EBGames contacted me to let me know that LittleBigPlanet was finally ready to be picked up! I was so excited, but I was way too tired to take the hour trip back downtown just to pick up my preorder. Yesterday, I took a special trip to pick the game up and there were quite a few people in line to finally pick up their copy of LBP.
When I got home, I decided to pop in the disc and check out the game, but prior to that, I thought about inputting the Kratos code that I received with my preorder. While attempting to peel the sticker covering the code, it actually RIPPED the code! I attempted to salvage the numbers but it was too late…out of the 12 digit code, I could not decipher the middle 4 digits. So I put off playing the game and went back to my EBGames to hopefully exchange it with another one. Luckily the location I went to had quite a few left so I basically swapped it for a new one and this time carefully peeled off the code.
However, while trying to follow the instructions on the card, it became clear that the site wasn’t officially open because the URL supplied on the card produced an error. Anyhow, I played the first 10 minutes of the game to get familiarized with the controls and gotta say the amount of customization is astounding. Even simple things like tilting your controller makes your Sackboy/Sackgirl character tilt their head or even gyrate their body. I figure when I have more time on my hands, I’ll play more of the game and start creating my own custom levels! =) I think Media Molecule has got a winner on their hands.
