So this past Friday and Saturday was Blizzard’s soldout BlizzCon 2008 Convention at the Aneheim Convention Center. At the convention, fans were given the opportunity to play Blizzard’s past games as well as sample their upcoming releases. With regards to the two most anticipated titles in the Blizzard Line-up (Starcraft II and Diablo III), there were new details given to the public…such as Starcraft II being a trilogy (a full game for each of the three races). As for Diablo III, another class has been revealed: The Wizard. Check the Wizard in action in the video below:

It looks as though the class utilizes a lot of elemental attacks like fireballs, ice, lightning etc. Other interesting things are the the ability to cast like a “time bubble” whereby enemies seemingly slowdown within it. Lots of devastating abilities, but I imagine are extremely vulnerable to attacks since they have lower defensive capabilities. So the strategy will probably have the party defend the Wizard while it prepares to cast devastating spells. Diablo III can’t come any sooner!!
