So after the recent Apple music event where Steve Jobs announced the new iPod Nanos and iPod Touch, many fans have been wondering and anticipating the announcement of a new line of Macbooks and Macbook Pros. Well, just yesterday, an invitation only event was revealed to the public and the topic…Notebooks! There is an ad up which shows the back of a Macbook with the caption, “The spotlight turns to notebooks.”

The event will be held in Cupertino next Tuesday and there has been huge speculation as to what Apple has in store for consumers. Some insiders believe that the multitouch functions of the Macbook Pro will be seen in the regular Macbook as well as some mysterious “brick” manufacturing process. I’ve always found the cost of Apple notebooks to be prohibitive…but if Apple can produce a sub $1000 Macbook, I might actually be convinced to buy one.
