So for those of you who are thinking that the Sony Playstation 4 will utilize brand new technology that will revolutionize the gaming industry…well…you might be a little disappointed. Sony announced that their next console, the PS4, will most likely utilize the same cell processor as the PS3. Sony feels that the decision will not only save them R & D costs for a new processor but they can get a little more out of their investment of the cell processor.

With that being said, it looks as though Sony is heading in the same direction as Nintendo, by diverting their attention from improving hardware specs to creating a more innovative gaming experience. I don’t think it’s a bad idea since the Nintendo Wii is currently the most successful gaming console in the market today. I guess there is still a little ways to go before we reach the technological marvels of the Playstation 9 that was previewed on a commercial a few years ago. You are not ready!
