Recently, Apple announced a special event this coming Tuesday, September 9th to introduce what looks to be a new iPod. The invitation shows what looks to be an iPod screen and the words “Let’s Rock”, which is a good indication that Apple is releasing a new iPod product for the upcoming holiday season.

There has been speculation that Apple will introduce the iPod Nano 4G (4th Generation) and apparently the above photo is circulating on the net to validate rumours. From the picture, the iPod Nano 3G looks more like Microsoft’s Zune with the elongated screen. Apple seems to have rounded the sides like they did with the iPhone 3G, I guess to make it seem thinner than it actually is. Anyhow, we can only guess right now if this is real or not, but we’ll soon find out this coming Tuesday.
