A little while back, Texas Instruments introduced their portable pico projector. There have been companies such as Optoma and Toshiba who are interested in the possibilities this technology will create. Recently, a demonstration was made with a prototype to show off the projector’s capabilities and responses were pretty positive. The mini projector is able to show 1000:1 contrast images and even produce 0.5 watts of sound. Definitely a neat little device for those impromptu movie/video sessions on the road. All you really need is a wall to project it! Too bad that something like this will cost a pretty penny.
