For those of you who have had your iPhone jailbroken and played either the NES or SNES emulator, you’ll notice it is difficult to control (especially action games) because there is no tactile buttons…which means you don’t know what you are actually touching on the screen (unless you constantly watch your you fingers). Also, the touch screen isn’t responsive enough to register quick movements when a person say…wants to dodge an enemy or avoid obstacles. A site called iControlPad.com has a solution: Hook up an SNES console controller to the iPhone! As you can see, the controller is pretty responsive and it’s like playing your SNES on the go!

At the present time, iControlPad.com is in the midst of designing and fabricating their own controller for the iPhone. From the looks of the images, it is a controller frame which wraps around the iPhone and makes the combination look like a handheld console. If this project does come to fruition, perhaps it will give the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP a run for its money.
