Not too long ago, I wrote about a racing game called GTS World Racing for the Apple iPhone. What was definitely unique about it was the fact that the controls were done purely through the accelerometer. Recently, an Australian developer, Firemint, has developed a very nice looking racing game and was demonstrated on the iPhone. Check it out:

The game is called “Real Racing” and will apparently be available on other platforms besides the iPhone (Real Racing was also running on the Symbian OS on the Nokia N95). Not only does this game look stunning, but Real Racing will also allow gamers to upload videos of your best times onto YouTube and share your rankings via Facebook and OpenSocial. You’ll also be able to upload your best times to Firemint’s web-based community, and even create leagues with your friends. There is no word on when the game is going to be released, but I’m definitely convinced it’ll be a hit!
