I’m not sure if other people agree but I find that when I play games these days, they don’t seem as hard relative to the videogames I played while I was a kid. Perhaps it may have been just my perception back then or perhaps I lacked any gaming skills as a child, but I definitely found myself unable to complete some of the games I played on my old NES. Gametrailers recently did a video of the most difficult game of all time and I tend to agree with some of their choices. Check it out:

I gotta tell you that I played Battletoads when I was a kid and even till this day, I’ve NEVER finished it. The speed bike level was definitely difficult but then even after I passed that level, I was greeted by even more difficult levels ahead. I honestly don’t know of anyone who has passed the game without the good old Game Genie. Other games that I think GT should have included are other classics like the original TMNT game and Top Gun for the original NES. After wasting HOURS upon HOURS on those two games, I still never ended up finishing those games.

Now all this talk about these old games makes me wanna download the ROMs and play them emulators on my computer…maybe on second thought, I should reconsider…I don’t think I am a masochist.
