So it’s been some time since Lara Croft came bursting onto the scene with the Tomb Raider series and it looks as though Eidos is trying to revive the franchise by not only releasing a new game in Tomb Raider Underworld, but also have a new face playing the heroine, Lara Croft in the series. Alison Carrol will play the beautiful and intelligent archaeologist/adventurer. The 23-year old British actress has been a trained gymnast for over 12 years and will show more realism in terms of acrobatics, which Lara Croft has been known to portray.

I guess only time will tell if Alison Carrol can win over fans and breathe new life to the Tomb Raider series (which seems to have remained stagnant over recent years). I’m actually hoping that the upcoming game will live up to hype and attention it’s getting.
