If you have recently visited any of the sites owned by Blizzard Entertainment, you’d probably have seen the above image. Apparently, as the days go by, the image has slowly changed to reveal some hints of what it’s about. It’s definitely set off quite a stir in the gaming community as many people are trying to speculate upon what the announcement is about. Theories abound that it’s probably a new Lost Vikings title, an expansion to the World of Warcraft World or my favourite, the announcement of Diablo 3.

As for the subtle hints, people are noticing that the spiral like object on the right side appears to be a rune seen in the game, Diablo II. Another reason being that we are nearing the anniversary of the Diablo franchise. Others are speculating a long awaiting sequel to the Lost Vikings because of the presence “ice” in the image. Whatever it might be, Blizzard sure knows how to create buzz and I guess we’ll all have to wait a bit longer and all will be revealed.
