So you’re probably a big fan of the Lego Star Wars series and have probably bought all the sets available from the AT-AT Walkers to the Millenium Falcon. Recently at the Brickworld Convention in Chicago (which is devoted to everything Lego), it was unveiled that Lego will soon be releasing a brand new Lego Deathstar Playset which depicts 14 scenes from the movie series. The set will comprise of 3800 Lego pieces, with 25 different figures/droids. The Deathstar stands 16″ tall 16.5″ wide and will have a retail price of about $400 USD. It defintely looks awesome but unfortunately it’s not to scale with other sets. I’m thinking if Lego actually made this to scale with it’s Millenium Falcon set, you might have to take out a mortgage to buy something like that. Anyhow, the set does look very nice and I’m sure many Star Wars/Lego fans can hardly wait for this baby to be released. Preorders for this bad boy starts July 1st, 2008 and will be released in Lego branded retail stores on September 1st, 2008.
