I remember watching the Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle movie on DVD and was laughing hysterically at all the jokes and adventures they had on their way to the White Castle burger joint. The sequel to the series was recently released on April 25th and I was eagerly anticipating it’s release. Here is the trailer of the movie:

So after watching it Sunday night, I gotta say that the movie was never short of laughs and with the conspicuous sexual themes, drugs and racism in the movie, the movie definitely pushed the boundaries quite far. The movie looks to continue on immediately after the first film and best buddies Harold Lee(John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) decide to take a trip to Amsterdam (the “Weed” capital of the world). During their flight, Harold and Kumar are mistaken for terrorists and are immediately sent to Guantanamo Bay. The pair manage to escape and they are fugitives on the run from Homeland Security. The movie is basically Harold and Kumar’s adventure while they run from the law and try to clear their names.

I think the funniest moments included Neal Patrick Harris (aka as “NPH”) making a return appearence playing as “himself” and the constant stereotypes the movie overtly portrays. The movie is by no means an intelligent flick or makes any political or social statements to the population. It’s one of those mindless comedies which people cannot help but to laugh at. Sometimes we can’t take things seriously and the movie definitely portrays that. If you enjoyed the first movie, I’m fairly certain you’ll like this one as well.
