There seems to have been a recent announcement of new seasons of Hayate no Gotoku, Kodomo no Jikan and Clannad. I haven’t watched much of the first two series, but I’m pretty happy that they are planning on making a new season of Clannad. From my understanding of the Clannad series, the first season only deals with the highschool life of all the main characters, whereas the second season would talk about their continuing lives in the “real world”. Though there were some moments which were emotional at times, many would say (myself included) that it didn’t have as much as an emotional as other Key Animation titles (Kanon, Air).

As for Hayate no Gotoku, it’s basically a comedy anime where we are focused on the life of Hayate, who is abandoned by his family and becomes a Butler for a wealthy family (to pay off his debts). There are definitely a lot of parodies from other animes that many may not pick up on, but if you do, it is definitely interesting to watch. in Kodomo no Jikan, it’s basically about a nine year old girl named, Rin, who has developed a crush on her elementary school teacher, Daisuke Aoki. Though she constantly tries to get close to her teacher, she knows that if she does, he can lose his job. I wasn’t really too interested in the plotline plus I’m not really into these “underaged” relationships (even if it’s just a cartoon).

Anyhow, Even with the announcement of new seasons of the above series, I’m actually anticipating the new season of Code Geass: R2 because of their cliffhanger ending and I’m really into the mecha series (along with Gundam 00).
