I recall the first time I watched Star Wars IV: A New Hope when I was either 6 or 7 years old on VHS cassette. Back then I was really captivated by the action and special effects that I barely paid attention to the plotline. It wasn’t until later on till I actually understood the actual concepts and plotline of the story. Recently, I found the following video of a 3 year old girl who not only was able to sit through the entire Star Wars IV movie, but was able to succinctly summarize the whole story! Take a look:

The little girl was absolutely adorable when she mentions characters like “Obi (Wan) Kenobi” and “Shiny Guy (C3-PO) and funny lines like “The Sand People sell robts at garage sales” and my favourite “Don’t talk back to Darth Vader…he’ll get ya!” I’m definitely amazed at how articulate she was in speaking and that she could accurately re-collect and interpret all this information at such a young age. I’m thinking that if this is the result of exposing a child to classic movies like Star Wars, then perhaps schools should investigate the viability of using these movies to educate young minds? who knows…=)
