Following Sunrise’s successful anime series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion comes the highly anticipated second season dubbed, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. It looks as though the series continues on from the cliffhanger ending of the previous season. Recently, Sunrise released a short video preview for the upcoming season:

The English translation for the text in the video is the following:

“1 year after the gunshot
To make that day end
To make that day continue
To raise an objection to the world
And then, the judgement of everything begins”

As you can see from the short preview, you can distinctly see a new swordsman (most likely Chinese) and a couple of new mechs (frames). You also see many familiar characters like Kallen/Karen (in a Bunny suit), C.C., Suzaku and of course Lelouch. What really got me interested in the series to begin with was not only the presence of cool mechs, but the genius and tactics employed by Lelouch/Zero to conquer a nation. The show constantly had action, plot twists and cliffhangers and I hope that Sunrise can deliver with R2. The military mech series is scheduled to premiere in April in Japan.
