Well, as we are patiently awaiting the third service pack for Windows XP and the first service pack for Windows Vista, Microsoft seems to have a new operating system in the works: Windows 7. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of details regarding the operating system accept some screenshots that had been shown on the site, Softpedia. Apparently an early version of the secret operating system had shipped to company’s key partners (though perhaps one company may never see any more updates after the leak). Many viewers and readers have already cried “FAKE” because the screenshots could’ve easily been doctored or photoshopped to create buzz. However, recently, the same people who released the photos, have also released a video of Windows 7 in action:

As you can see from the video, it’s either the creators went to a lot of trouble to make a convincing fake or we are actually viewing the first video of Windows 7. From the video, there are many similarities to Windows Vista, which is why all the accusations that the rumors are fake, however, it’s understandable since it’s only an early build of the future operating system. If people may recall, the same thing was said about the Mac Leopard OS because there didn’t seem to be any substantial changes in the look or style. Anyhow, I’m sure as time goes by, we’ll hear more about Windows 7 and I definitely hope it’s better than their Vista platform (I’m still using Windows XP just to let you know). Until then, release those service packs Microsoft!
