So even after a full year since it’s release, the Nintendo Wii is still a hot (if not THE hottest) game system this Christmas season. Nintendo has definitely been preoccupied with increasing production and trying to meet the demand that a Chinese company has created a “copy” of the Wii console. Called the “Vii”, it’s a really crappy ripoff of the Wii console with horrendous 8-bit game graphics and control. The Chinese company even had the audacity to create the commercial below:

The company copied everything from the design, the stand and even the controllers! Since then, the same company has created a brand new version of the console and is calling it the “Vii 2″. Judging by the picture below, it looks as though the Chinese have “borrowed” some of the design from the Sony PS3, however, the games are still the 8-bit quality graphics we would’ve seen in the early 80’s.

Being Chinese myself, I find it’s pretty disgraceful that Chinese people would build and support such a blantant ripoff (and a really BAD one at that!). I guess until activities like these are stopped, the Chinese will never lose the stigma of being known as “pirates”. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and stay CLEAR from the above mentioned systems at all costs! =)
