Beforehand, the only way to download exclusive content onto your PSP was via a Sony Playstation 3…until now. Recently, Sony has finally released a new Playstation store for the PSP in which you can access the content through a PC. Now those of us without a Playstation 3 can purchase updated content for our PSPs. There is even exclusive content not available on the PS3 Store, such as two full game downloads (Wipeout Pure and Gangs of London). You can also download PSOne titles, themes, wallpapers and videos. The site requires the user to download a Windows-only loader application in order to transfer files to your PSP from your PC. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate and for those people with PS3s, you can also login to the site via your Playstation Network ID. Though Playstation 3 games are still not available for download through the store, it’s good to see that Sony is taking steps to reach parts of the market which they’ve missed. The store is definitely a step in the right direction and we can only hope it gets better from here.
