I recall back in highschool when students were bored in class, they’d do whatever it takes to distract themselves while the teacher was talking. Some people might stare out the window, read a comic book, doodle pictures or even twirl their pen. I must admit that it amazed me how some kids were able to continuously spin their pen around their fingertips with such fluidity and without interruption. I too attempted to practice the same “skills”, but I could never get it right. I recently came across the following video, and I was shocked at the spinning skills they displayed:
I just don’t understand how these people have the manual dexterity to control the pen/pencil so fluidly. Perhaps it’s my genetic shortcoming of having stubby fingers which prevent me from achieving pen spinning greatness? lol…or perhaps I just have better things to do…=)

1Woah cool. I know a ton of people who twirl their pen in class…mostly fobs though, they tell me its what they do in China to get through the long classes. I’ve never seen anyone with this level of skill though!

2Definitely, I’m beginning to think that if there are people with this kind of skill, perhaps someone should set-up some kind of “pen spinning/twirling competition”! The winner could get a lifetime supply of pens an endorse specific brands…lol.
