Every Friday evening, I keep an eye out for the newest episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender since I usually miss it when it’s actually aired on television. For the third season, Nickelodean has advertised that there will be a new episode of Avatar airing on Friday’s for the next 10 weeks (meaning 10 new episodes). I could definitely live with that, since there was a absense of new episodes of Avatar for nearly a year. However, I was surfing on Thursday night and discovered that 3 new episodes had been aired already! I was a bit confused since I didn’t hear any news regarding this on television. After a bit of research, I discovered that exclusively in the UK, the Nichelodean (Nicktoons) station was planning to air the first 10 episodes of season 3 this whole week! So by yesterday (Friday), Episode 9 had already aired in the UK while we are only on episode 6 in North America.

I was thinking about just watching episode 6 - The Avatar and the Firelord and follow the North American schedule like normal. However, the floods of spoilers and revelations became too great of a temptation, so I caved in and watched the rest online. Thankfully, we have the Internet or else it’ll be another 3 agonizing weeks before we catch up to UK fans. I guess I am starting to understand how Europeans feel when they typically must wait for products/shows later than we do. Anyhow, for those poor, unfortunate fans outside of the UK, I have posted episodes 6 to 9 below for your viewing pleasure…Enjoy! Also, take note that in Europe, the show is called “Avatar: Legend of Aang” as opposed to the familiar “Avatar: The Last Airbender”…perhaps for ease of translation?
