Though I’ve never owned a Mac before, I can honestly say that I really like their computers due to their aesthetics and their user friendliness. If I’m not mistaken, Apple was first to bring about the Graphical User Interface (GUI) Operating System. Later on, Microsoft went on to create their own GUI OS with Windows. Early this past year, Microsoft unveiled their newest incarnation of their Windows OS with the introduction of Windows Vista. Today, Apple is about to release their new OS X upgrade in the form of Leopard. Here is a video guided tour of the new Leopard OS:

From the reviews of the new OS X Leopard, it’s been mentioned that although there aren’t any revolutionary changes to the software, many of the new features are definitely worthwhile. Apple has stated that all new macs will be shipped with Leopard preinstalled and that it’ll run just as well on old systems too! I personally think the Time Machine feature of Leopard is definitely a great tool to have since the OS automatically backs-up your system and files seemlessly to a back-up drive or server. Other cool features include the neat coverflow file finder (the cool feature from the iPhone) and even the Boot Camp program to allow Mac users to run Microsoft Windows. All in all, OS X Leopard looks to be an excellent operating system, however, it remains to be seen if it’ll be well received by the Apple/Mac community.
