So it looks like Gainax is at it again by continuing to milk the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise for all it’s worth.  This time they are creating a high resolution theatrical release of the cartoon series which is supposedly coming out on September 1st, 2007.  Judging from the preview, the animation does look good, however, it isn’t something that I haven’t seen before with current anime series.  I’m still unsure whether or not this is a retelling of the anime series or some completely different storyline.  My big question is what is taking them so long with the live-action movies that all us fans have been patiently waiting for all these years? I’m also wondering, is that Hikaru Utada singing “Fly Me to the Moon”? Because I definitely like this version than the original.
