A blog for guys who never want to “grow-up”!

Although the video above seems like your ordinary music video by a Chinese artist, what is special about it is that the video and instruments were done entirely via an iPhone! I know it may sound shocking, but there are apps available that can actually accomplish the result above. I gotta say it’s still pretty good! Perhaps the singer, PixieTea should also release like a “How to” video on how she did everything…I’m sure many budding musicians would be fascinated. Now I’m wondering if people will create cartoons or animations with the apps on the iPhone? Who knows…it can happen!

Video: Tron Legacy Trailer

It’s been awhile since we seen a trailer for the upcoming Tron Legacy movie, but the one above really makes me want to see it! With the light cycles, frisbees and the new “light runner” car, the trailer definitely is exciting for all sci-fi geeks. It’s also interesting bringing back Jeff Bridges in the sequel, since he played the hero in the first film (I think he’s the villain in this one though). Although Jeff may not win an Oscar for this movie, I’m anxious to see it on IMAX 3D….December 17th can’t come soon enough!!!

Video: God Of War III Review

So it’s exactly one week till the release of one of the most anticipated game on the PS3…God of War III. Now the final installment in the series has a lot to live up to, but it looks as though that Sony Santa Monica Studios delivers. The game looks to start off where the second one ended where Kratos along with the Titans start to scale Mt. Olympus. The battles with the sheer size of the Titans is extraordinary! Though the gameplay hasn’t really changed from the previous titles, the action and graphic violence is what made the game successful. If it ain’t broke, there’s no point in fixing it! Even though the game is about 9 hours in length, the action seems pretty fast and furious and it’s a great way to relieve some stress!

Anyhow, can’t wait till the game comes out and on March 16th, in the end, there will only be CHAOS!

Awhile back, I had written about Headtracking technology on the Nintendo Wii and then companies like Nintendo was starting to create games which utilized the seemingly 3D environments. It looks like Nintendo is going to bring the tech to their handheld DSi device and will release a 3D Hidden Picture game. As you can see from the video above, you can shift the position of the DSi to look around items to spot hidden letters within the picture. This is performed by utilizing the built in camera to gauge your relative position to the handheld.

It is definitely something neat to behold, but I think it’s only the beginning. If other companies can start adopting the technology to other genres of games like FPSes or RPGs, that would be really interesting…definitely one more step closer to a totally virtual experience.

So it looks as though Apple has officially announced the actual date of their iPad tablet device. The iPad wifi-only version will be released in the US on April 3rd while the 3G version will hitting shelves sometime in late-April. Also, Americans will be able to start preorders next week on March 12th for both versions. As for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK—both wifi and 3G models will be launching simultaneously in “late April.”

I guess rumours of production delays of the iPad were true and that there might even be shortages when it first comes out. I understand that the 3G model is delayed due to negotiations with communication network companies, but I didn’t expect that the rest of the world would have to wait for regular wifi models. I’m still on the fence on buying the iPad…though it doesn’t have all the features that my iPhone has, it’s still nicer to have a big screen to do work on. I guess I’ll wait till my local Apple store has it and see if I like it. =)
